How to write an appreciation letter to employers
To be effective in writing a letter of appreciation, one must not delay saying thank you for the gift, favor, event or any other action one is thankful for. Employers feel good and motivated every time their boss writes a thank you letter to them as soon as they their allocated time. Delayed appreciation letters do not have much positive effect especially to those who have memory lapse to an extent that they cannot remember what they are being appreciated for.

A letter of appreciation to the employers must have a salutation. Since this is a letter to a person, it should take a relatively informal structure. However, for persons in a certain profession such as the government officials, doctors or members of the military, they should be addressed with their title. For example, “Dear Sergeant Peter” or “Dear Doctor Jane”. In the case of a person the author does not have to use a formal title, they can use the abbreviated “Ms/Miss/Mrs.” for women or “Mr.” for men. It’s good to know which title a woman prefers if at all there is any doubt for women, it’s important to use “Ms” because it’s more neutral.
